Be Human, being (part two)
“Think more, and believe less.” – John Trudell.
This concept becomes more controversial as each year passes, because belief is the Kool-Aid which has polluted the clear waters of human thought. Without belief, gaslighting, brainwashing, and control through fear would not be possible. Humans, like all animals, are born with millions of years of survival instinct in our very DNA. We share this DNA with all of nature. Nature is our foundation, our roots. Only manipulation of thought through belief is can rob us of that stability.
As a human born in liberal Northern California, my mental clarity and flexibility of thought were valued by the American public school system of the 1980’s-90’s, and by my parents. I was never taught to believe in a God, and most importantly, I was never taught to believe that I, as a human, was born into sin.
So I was not affected when a church-going classmate told me I was going to Hell. I did not consider this life to be a test or a pit-stop on the way to a “better place.” What an arrogant, dangerous and unintelligent belief!
